In 2004, the university of Amsterdam decided to develop a green residential solution for students using a modular building system, as a result of a growing housing shortage and high rents in Amsterdam. The student apartment is equipped with 1000 sets of rooms with 100% factory interior decoration.
In 2018, the temporary apartment building was moved from Amsterdam as a whole to Groningen for recycling. It only took 8 weeks to quickly complete the building on site and started the second phase of green recycling.
